New Kitty

Auntie Magoo 1 and Uncle Magoo 1 got their new kitty Ari (or Ah-we as Chicky Magoo 2 says) yesterday. The kids have LOVED "taking care" of the new little one I don't know if Ari even got a chance to walk from the time we were there until the time we left. Chicky Magoo 1 enjoys playing mother to the kitten, and telling Chicky Magoo 2 how to hold him. I have also heard this phrase about 2,000 times since we left "Can we get a kitten Mommy?"

This Weekend

The kids, Mr. Magoo and I flew down to Evansville this weekend to go to a family reunion. The reunion was a lot of fun. It was incredibly hot, but fun! We took my Grandmother with us, since my parents are out of town this weekend. The reunion was in Kentucky, and about an hour away from my parents house. Their property is amazing. They have a giant oak tree in their yard! This tree is so huge that the entire family was able to sit under it and have some shade!

The kids had fun playing with their cousins. While we were driving down they kept asking about "the baby," and wondering if "the baby" would be there. Well- they got their wish, and Alexandria was there for them to enjoy. Chicky Magoo 2 had a good time, and even showed that she had a little sharing left in her! To my amazement, she let "the baby" hold her baby! Of course, we all kept telling her how good that was, which is I'm sure, why she kept it up. Whatever works!!

Chicky Magoo 1 enjoyed her divinity candy. Great Gran had made lots of candy for the party. She made some divinity, which if you have never tasted....you are missing out!! It is a white creamy candy, that is basically sugar! YUM!

I'm glad we were able to come, and hopefully we will be back next year too! I got some of the family tree figured out while I was there too. I took some papers for people to fill out, and got some helpful information on the genealogy track! It does make genealogy research easier when you are sitting with about 75 relatives! Ha Ha!

Have a good Memorial Day!

Soccer and Preschool

Last night was the last soccer game of the season. The kids were great, and Chicky Magoo 1 almost scored again. Mr. Magoo has posted the video clips on his website, so you can all see!

Today is also Chicky Magoo 1's last day of preschool. I can't believe that after today, she will be in Kindergarten. I will of course be taking lots of pictures, and trying to make the moment last.

Soccer--Update...

SHE SCORED! Coach Magoo and the Chicky Magoo Cheerleaders were SO happy to see Chicky Magoo 1's goal! Yea!
Soccer

We have only 2 games left of the soccer season! Chicky Magoo1 is trying her best to score, and I sure hope it happens! Last night we played a make-up game. Since it was a make-up game and on a new night, the other team only had 2 legit players, and one boy who had to suit up because they needed a 3rd to play. I think it was someone's brother. This kid had never played before, and didn't quite get that you couldn't touch the ball. We had all 7 players show up. We really thought this would be a chance for the 5 kids who haven't scored all year, to finally get their shot! (no pun intended) Well- no chance! Chicky Magoo 1 was SO close to scoring, as well as another little boy. The whole crowd was cheering for them. It was fun! She wants to score so badly, that it is all she talks about. Hopefully today!!!!

Random Stats

I went through my stats page and found this:
This month I've had 192 visitors (149 of which were returning)
Last month I had 343 visitors
1/2 of you stay for less than 5 seconds...NICE
1/2 of you stay for longer than an hour...WOW! I didn't know I was so interesting. :P
This month I've had people from France and the UK.

And probably the best statistic I can give you...
When I posted the song "Boobs a Lot" I had the most visitors from search engines.
The New Computer

I have found it pretty interesting to figure this whole Mac thing out. I guess I was so used to what I had, that I'm having trouble getting this new stuff in my brain. Amazing how many of the things I did on the computer were automatic, and now I have to relearn them.

I took this picture at the Zoo about a week ago. It could use some photoshop, but I am still working on all of that.

Isn't It Ironic?'

Mr. Magoo came home early yesterday and handed me a new laptop! My old one had been broken, when the cord was stepped on, and part of it snapped off inside the computer. The person who did this shall remain unnamed, but is almost 2 years old....

I got the new MacBook. Thanks to Hawkins for giving us the heads up it was out! So- I'll be posting a little more often, and actually be able to email people again.

Yes- amazingly we are Mac people? I guess hell is now frozen, because I recall Mr. Magoo saying something about hell freezing over before he owned a Mac!

Visits

We had two sets of visitors this past week. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone. One was Chicky Magoo 1's friend from California. They acted as if they had never left each other. It was amazing to see that the two of them haven't changed at all since they were together two years ago!

In other news, we have made good use out of the new outside furniture we got this past week. It has been a nice place to hang out, while the kids are playing out back. It was a fiasco to get the furniture, but it is finally here.

Lightning Strike

A few nights ago there was a pretty big thunderstorm that rolled through. At 2am, there was almost a simultaneous thunder/lightning strike. Mr. Magoo and I thought it must have been pretty close to our house, but were too tired to really pay too much attention. The next day, thanks to our neighbor who had to point it out to us (Yes we apparently are Mr. and Mrs. Oblivious) the lightning went right through a house down the street.

We all took a walk down to check it out. Amazing! This was a house that was for sale, so my guess is that you can get it for a pretty good price at this point!
