Probability
I'm not that great with probability, but this doesn't seem like it is possible. When children are putting on shoes I would assume that since they don't really know that each shoe has a corresponding foot, the probability they would put the wrong shoe on the wrong foot would be about 50%. The actual chances of this happening are more like 95%. How is this possible?

Long Time No Post
Ok- so it has been far too long since I have posted. A few things have gone on since I last "talked" to you. My oldest had the flu and turned 5 this past week, my youngest has pneumonia, we had company, and Mr. Magoo and I are exhausted! I've been snapping photos, and hope to have some more posted soon. It is just nice to get back in the swing of things.
In other news, it is going to be 70 degrees today! I am so anxious for Spring to actually take hold here. Yesterday the kids and I were outside for a few hours to get out of our germ-infested house! Today it is time to open those windows and let some fresh air in!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I hope everyone is having a great St. Patrick's Day, and not getting pinched! Wear your green! Also- what are you doing reading this blog? You should be out having a green beer!
On a side note: (as if this whole blog isn't a side note)
If you are passing through Terre Haute, Indiana, or would like to get some Irish Stew and a Guinness stop by Sonka Irish Pub! It has to be the BEST Irish Stew I've ever had. This is the spot we used to hang out in college on St. Patrick's Day. They open at 11am today! Definitely worth the drive! Uncle Magoo and Aunt Magoo will be heading there, for their annual tradition! Eat a bowl for me!!!
---------------------------
For all of those Catholics wondering, I found this online about St. Patrick's Day and meat:
"St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, falls this year on a Lenten Friday, a penitential day for Catholics when they do not eat meat or soups and sauces made from meat.
Recognizing that this is a traditional day of celebration for many Catholics and that a person cannot celebrate and do penance at the same time, Archbishop Daniel M. Buechlein has commuted the obligation for Catholics of the archdiocese to abstain from meat on Friday, March 17.
Commutation means that those persons in the archdiocese who wish to eat meat on St. Patrick’s Day are free to do so provided that they abstain from meat on some other day during the week of March 12. †"

Get With the Program
So- I told Mr. Magoo I would give him until today, before I started taunting him about his website. He hasn't posted anything since March 5th and there have been more than a few things that he could post about. So- for all you who check out Mr. Magoo's site, today is the day to email him and let him know he needs to post more often! :)
Aren't you supposed to be distinguished? :P

Still at Work
I'm still working on getting my pictures back. Hawkins gave me a download, and I've tried it out. So far, it has found pictures, but only on my computer. It hasn't recognized that the camera is there too?!? Mr. Magoo is trying a few things, and hopefully I'll get them back! At this point though, I'd say that chance is only about 2%.
Knowledge of Ms. Magoo (tm)
Reading: The Revelation by Beverly Lewis
Watching: Dora the Explorer (the kids don't seem to tire of D-D-D-D-Dora as often as I do!)
Can't Believe: My oldest will be 5 next week!

Picture This....
I was in the car with Chicky Magoo 2, and Queen came on. She started ROCKING it out! Apparently- the clapping, and beat were just up her alley!
This one is for Chicky Magoo 2...my 1 1/2 year old!
Buddy you’re a boy make a big noise
Playin’ in the street gonna be a big man some day
You got mud on yo’ face
You big disgrace
Kickin’ your can all over the place
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you
Buddy you’re a young man hard man
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
You got blood on yo’ face
You big disgrace
Wavin’ your banner all over the place
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you

Throw Some Paint on the Walls
This past weekend, we decided to take the plunge and paint one of the walls in the living room, and a few sections above the fireplace. We have talked about this for a while, but as with most projects that go on in our house, we just hadn't done it yet! When we mentioned this to several people, they acted as though, Mr. Magoo and I painting this ourselves was the most insane thing they had ever heard. I think it was because of this, that we were determined to do it ourselves!
I called my friend, Jen, who is a sales rep for Sherwin-Williams. She was nice enough to bring us a huge selection of colors, and told us about a paint that kids can even draw on and it come off! So- off to the store to buy the color and get started. Thanks Jen!
I am terrified of heights, but I managed to get up on the ladder to paint. Again- I'm sure it was the challenge that got me up there. So- just for proof, this is me on the ladder! :)
It took about 5 hours to paint, and now we are in need of some pictures on the wall! We are happy it is done though, and can't believe the kids were good enough through the whole process that we could actually do this while they were awake!

A Few Things
Just wanted to post up a few pictures...One of Lexy, the Michigan swan we visit every year. The other is from a dozen roses I got for our anniversary! Yea Mr. Magoo!
Also- I have a tri-pod and new bag on the way! It might be here today, thanks to Hawkins!
Knowledge of Ms. Magoo (tm)
Last Movie I saw: Pooh's Heffalump
Last DVD I saw: Sideways
Random Thought: Why is cookie dough so good? After thinking about it more- I realize that desserts in general are good not done??? Not the same can be said for the main course!

Trip to Evansville
This past weekend, we decided to take a trip to Evansville. The trip down was pretty bumpy until we got up above 6000+ ft. The way back was much smoother though! It looked pretty sunny from the ground, but once we got up, it was a little hazy, so my picture of downtown Indy isn't that clear.

House of Blues: AKA Rathskeller
This week is our 8th anniversary, so Mr. Magoo and I decided to go out to celebrate over the weekend. We headed downtown for some duck pin bowling, when we realized that there were about 4 events going on, and we were headed right for all of the traffic. I suggested we head to the Rathskeller, to start, since we were both hungry. As luck would have it, that night was a blues band. We ordered our food, and waited for them to start. When we were in Vegas, we wanted to see a blues band, so naturally we went to the House of Blues. There they had a country band?!? Then we end up at a German Restaurant in Indianapolis, and they have a blues band? Something is messed up...
Anyway- they were really good! We were surprised, because when they came in to set up, there was only one guy of the 4 that actually looked like a blues player. The bassist had to be our favorite to watch. Not because he was playing well, but because of several other reasons 1) He looked Polish 2) He had strange facial expressions 3) He had a strange sway during the music (he would bend one knee, then the other, and looked quite stiff during the whole process) 4) After each song he would say something to the lead guy (Gene Deer), who was awesome by the way, and that guy would look at him like "don't talk to me"
We were trying to figure out if this was a real band, or if the singer just gathered these guys together to have full band for the evening. What we came up with is that they barely knew each other really. The band was made up of 4 people of all ages. They didn't really talk much before their set began, and I just can't imagine these people hanging out!
In good news, I am happy to report that The Rathskeller is SMOKE FREE!
PS. I have a picture of the guy who I'm talking about. It is on Mr. Magoo's phone, which I happened to run through the washing machine this morning! Oops! Once it dries out, I'll be able to post up the picture!

All About the Earth
My Dad and I were driving along today and saw a GIANT Chevy Tahoe in front of us at a light. I noticed that they had an environmental license plate, which I thought was rather amusing. As soon as I said something to him about the license plate, we looked up and saw the driver flick a cigarette butt onto the road. Ah yes...how we all love nature!
Then again, maybe they felt the license plate was their way of paying back for what they were getting ready to do....

Why?
Last night I put away a new batch of diapers. As I was opening them I saw something that was an expiration date?!? What? Why would diapers expire? Even more strange is that it expired 12/06, which isn't even a year after they were purchased? If anyone can rationally explain this, they win a prize. All other comments will receive honorable mention.
My camera has no battery, so this is from my camera phone, but I bet you can't even tell the difference in quality. Ha Ha!

Trip Pictures
Here are a few more pictures of the trip. The one on the left is me standing in front of New York, New York. That was one of my favorite hotels. There seems to be lots going on, and they have a version of SoHo there. The Blue Man one, is pretty obvious, I would hope! :)
This picture I think was taken at the Monte Carlo. I just remember we were walking, and on our way back to the hotel, when it caught my attention.
