Smeeps
Have you ever craved a Smore? Well- this Easter we were at the Lake, and tried to make them with Peeps (one of my favorite Easter treats!). Peeps on Smores is 100% better than just using a plain marshmallow! And so- "Smeeps" were born! Has anyone else ever tried this? I'm curious to see what you thought?

So Much Going On...
Since my last post there have been a whirlwind of activities. We had Chicky Magoo 2's 2nd birthday! She was very excited about turning 2! She still walks around saying "I'm 2!"
After her birthday, we had the Greenwood Freedom Festival Parade. Chicky Magoo 1 was on the float that won, and was very happy to be on the float, as a Princess! After the parade, we all got to have some fun at the festival. They had really good Bar-b-que, and the kids got to do fun crafts. We had no idea all of that was going to be happening in Greenwood, but WOW, they did put on a good time for the whole family!
That night, Mr. Magoo and I went out to the Brugge and to the horse track. If you haven't been to the Brugge, it is well worth the trip to Broadripple! They have GREAT food, and beer! The track was fun, but Mr. Magoo and I figured out one thing...we have NO idea what we are doing in horse betting!! The track was a lot of fun, and we decided to take the kids at some point. They have a 1st floor that is smoke-free, and called the Family Pavilion. They have a gift shop, arcade, snack area, playground, and you can go pet the horses after each race.
Today, we are getting pictures done for Chicky Magoo 2's 2nd birthday. Then Chicky Magoo 1 has violin lessons. Just another day at the Magoo house!

World Cup
Today we will be watching the US v Italy game. I sure hope this game is more fun to watch than the last one we had to endure! The US didn't even look like they were trying to take a shot. They would just play mid-field, then C.R. would take the ball and rush the goal. We didn't even look like we wanted to take any shots. (except for Johnson, who was a sub!) I hope Arena gets the team together, although with his coaching, I doubt it will happen. He doesn't look like he is into the game, and doesn't seem to take any responsibility for his players actions. Hello Coach- that is what you do! You are SUPPOSED to be a LEADER! Does Arena look like a leader to any of you? I doubt it. I just hope they can pull off a win and at least get to the next round.

Give Me a Yellow Card
Ok- I haven't posted in a while. But, I have an excuse...The World Cup! I've been watching it like crazy! The kids seem to enjoy the games too, so that is nice! I think the US looked pathetic, really. Let's hope Saturday, they can make a comeback and show us they are worthy of even being there! In other news though, the Brazil v Croatia game was amazing! I even watched it twice, and enjoyed it both times :)

Water, water, everywhere!
If there is one lesson I have learned from my kids, is that kids brains definitely work in a different way than adults! Here is a story that proves this point:
Today, while filling up a jug of water, Mr. Magoo put Chicky Magoo 1 in charge of checking on the water in the garage. She asked Mr. Magoo if she should check to see how full it was. He, of course, told her that would be a good idea. So, she went out to the garage to check. I thought I heard dripping water, so I ran that way too, just to see what was going on in there. To my surprise, Chicky Magoo 1 is standing by the water jug, eyes wide opened. She had no idea that I had come in, and this is what she says to HERSELF in a low whisper no less. "Wow! THIS is a huge mess."
Now let me relay to you what an adult would do in this situation. Adult realizes that they haven't checked on the water. Adult runs to the garage saying "Oh **** I forgot to check the water." Then adult says nothing, while fixing the problem, OR yells at the closest person "We have some water here. Someone give me a hand." This is apparently not what runs through a child's mind. A child just stares at the problem thinking "I'm glad this isn't MY problem. It does look cool though."
