I Always Feel Like Somebody's Watchin' Me (and I ain't got no privacy)
Ok, ok, I'm a big fan of 80's music, so that song came to mind when I wondered who was checking out my blog. I figure about 3-4 people (Mr. Magoo, my parents, and my sister) depending on the day are actually reading this. If you check out the blog give me a shout out! :)

Give me the GOOD onions!
Have any of you ever had the experience of going to a fast food place and getting EXACTLY what you want? Yea- me neither! I used to have that experience. Not so much any more.
When I go to Micky D's I usually will get the #3, no cheese. (for those of you who aren't into the McOrder, it is a Quarter Pounder meal) Recently, I found out that if you say "#3 no cheese, and substitute the onions," you can actually get the GOOD hamburger onions on the quarter pounder! YES! Ok- Mr. Magoo actually found that out for me! :)
So- I've been on a mission when I go to McD's, to actually get that order right! So far, I've only gotten it right a few times. Yes, I order it exactly as they would type it into the computer, but of course it is misinterpreted back in the kitchen!!!
Now- I do have a solution, which seems obvious! When you type in the order up front it is usually pictures they have to look at. So- that is not the problem. In fact, when I get my wrong order about 85% of the time it says the right thing. They just didn't MAKE it right!
Once the order goes into the computer (again, usually done the right way), it then comes up on a screen in the back, and the cooks read it. When the cooks read the order on the screen it is in English. WHY?? Does anyone back there actually speak that language? In order to get it right, they should have it come up in Spanish. (or both English and Spanish, on the off chance that people would need both)
I am just SO sick of getting the wrong order! PLEASE someone get me the GOOD onions on this thing! (and STOP taking off random items like mustard, or ketchup!)

Would You Like Another Breadstick?
What is it about Fazoli's breadsticks that I can't seem to resist? When we first lived in Indy, after we got married I would go to Fazoli's ALL of the time! Now I seem to not go as often, which makes their breadsticks taste even yummier than I remembered them being! (Is yummier a word?)
Anyway- Becky, a friend of mine, and I would go there QUITE often back in the day, and eat our hearts out. We wouldn't do much talking, except to say things like "These things are awesome!" or "I LOVE their breadsticks!" I'm not sure if it is because they are free, or that they are soaking with butter and garlic, or that they are cooked only to the point of just being done and not hard at ALL that is so appealing to me. I'm guessing it is a combination of all of those things.
After a while though, Becky decided to go on Atkins, which, let me tell you...Fazoli's isn't nearly as appealing when you are not allowed to consume bread!! :) So after a time, we quit going. It wasn't until recently that I went their for the first time in about 5 1/2 years! It was DELICIOUS! Ok- well the BREADSTICKS were delicious, who knows about the other food I had. I wasn't much paying attention to it. So since I have sort of rediscovered it, we have gone there several times recently.
I used to think the Olive Garden had the best breadsticks, but then I tried Fazzoli's!!!

Are You Ready for Some Football?
So I have heard that I am an anomaly. I actually LOVE football, and can't wait for the season to start, right along with Mr. Magoo. To help get into the season a few years ago, I tried my hand at fantasy football. I think I was the only person in the draft that had to draft players while nursing! :)
I have of course been the only girl in the league, but have done pretty well for myself. Last year I (team name Mom's Army) was the league champion!! I had to keep reminding Mr. Magoo all during the off-season that I won the league too!
Anyway- here we sit a few hours away from picking our teams! I recently saw an article that Fantasy Football costs American businesses billions of dollars a year from lost work. That is pretty funny to think about. A bunch of people pretending, is now costing America billions of dollars, so America is in fact the land of dreams...living up to it's name.
Away to the draft... and more random thoughts....

First Full Day...Survived!!
Chicky Magoo 1 had her first FULL day of Kindergarten today. We all managed to survive! It somehow makes me feel like June Cleaver though. She was in her school uniform, and I served a delicious snack after school. Sounds like 1950 doesn't it? That is how the whole day has felt. I had time to read and play with my youngest, get some housework done, and as if that wasn't enough, I even caught an episode of Oprah! What sort of world am I living in?!?!?!?!? Time for the kids, time for the housework, AND time for me? It is feeling a bit strange, and I'm sure this will change, as soon as we get into the school year, but at least I felt it for a day!

Christmas Anyone?
For some reason lately Christmas has been on my mind. Needless to say, Christmas is my absolutely FAVORITE holiday. I know it sounds like a cliche to have it as your favorite holiday, but it really is my favorite! I think it is because it is the only holiday that really lasts for about a month and is mostly about gifts! I've already thought of a few gifts for people, which I know is ludicrous!
Did I mention I love gifts? There is something about wrapping it up and then watching people open a gift that I get a kick out of. I also enjoy GETTING gifts. Doesn't everyone like getting a gift though? People think this is strange to say that I like gifts, but is it really? People always think it is odd that I would actually SAY IT OUT LOUD, because apparently there is an unwritten rule that you aren't allowed to admit that you enjoy getting presents?!? I choose to ignore this rule, and anyone who knows me, knows I like presents!!
It is because of my enjoyment of presents that I like to try and enjoy Christmas all year! For anyone else crazy enough to want to even consider Christmas this time of year, here is a fun website!
Knowledge of Ms. Magoo (tm)
Love The Sound: When a kid gets laughing really hard
Can't Help Laughing When: Someone trips or falls down and acts like it wasn't their fault
(Ok- I even laugh at myself when I do this!)
Wishing For: Two Trees and a Hammock

You Can Feel Safe Now
I've been trying to keep up with the information about the terrorist stuff that has been going on today. In my search, I found this headline in the Evansville Courier.
Ok- now we can all rest assured that the Evansville airport has NOT been effected by the UK terror plot. Whew- that's a load off my mind.
Ah news reporters....

Best Pizza Ever!
Ok- so maybe not ever, but at least it is the best pizza I've ever had! Villa Pizza was one of the first places Mr. Magoo took me in Griffith, while we were dating. To this day, it is still my favorite place to go while we are here. I LOVE VILLA PIZZA! We just got back from eating some sausage pizza from Villa. Yum!! Oh- did I mention that this place is awesome! It is the only place I know that you are almost expected to have fries as an appetizer?!?

This Post Will Be About Shark Week And Movie Titles That Stink
This week I have been glued to Shark Week. It was good, but again, there were so many rerun programs that I had seen a good portion of the shows. I'm not sure why they don't have new programs. It baffles me that they know enough to realize that people are interested in sharks, that they dedicate a whole week to it. They just don't go to the effort of actually making any new programming. Does anyone else find this strange?
My disappointment in Shark Week started about 3 or 4 years ago, when apparently, they decided enough research was done on sharks, and they only showed the old programs we had seen. I remember that year being awful, and having absolutely NO new programming. In fact, they used basically the same stuff as they year before! It has slowly gotten better, but still has some improvements to make, as far as I'm concerned.
There are so many research and conservation projects going on that they could be filming! There was no mention of Monterey Bay Aquarium holding a great white shark for longer than anyone else. Or the Georgia Aquarium, that has the giant whale sharks. Surely this produced some information that they didn't have before. Now that I think of it, maybe they should have consulted me before they figured out what they were putting on! :)
In other news, while watching Shark Week I saw a preview for a movie that has probably the worst movie title in at LEAST recent history! Snakes on a Plane. Could this title be anymore lame? At least you know what you are in for when you buy your ticket! Here is a rundown of the clip if you haven't seen it yet...Samuel L. Jackson tries his best to act like there are really snakes around him. Then they cut to an extremely crappy computer generation of a large snake trying to bite anything in it's patch. Please! I don't know much about snakes, but I'm guessing that planes don't make them as mad as the clip makes it out to be. Maybe they all have a fear of flying? Or maybe they didn't like Samuel L. Jackson's previous work? Who knows!?! All I know is that they should have thought a little harder about the title, so that they don't leave the audience in laughter, when they are going for fear!

Kindergarten and Other Events
Well- only one more week, and Chicky Magoo 1 starts Kindergarten. The summer had been smooth until Chicky Magoo 1 realized that she would be going to Kindergarten. She was excited about it until we went to the school a few times. I think at that point she realized that it was a new place, and Mrs. Probst (her Preschool teacher) wouldn't be teaching her this year. The past few nights she hasn't slept well, so during the day she is really tired.
The school is hosting a spaghetti dinner Saturday, so that the kids can all meet each other. I think that will be a blessing to have that. At least then she will know people her first day of school.
Ok- did I mention the school uniforms? The are SO cute! We went shopping the other day for them, and she got to try her outfit on. She looked adorable, if I do say so myself! :) She was excited about the whole thing, until she tried on the casual outfit. That is khaki pants and a white shirt. She came out of the dressing room and said "I look like a boy!" Needless to say, I'm guessing we won't be in the casual outfit much!
In other events, I have been back on the treadmill. With Mr. Magoo working out, I had to get back on. I had actually passed him up on the race to be a couch potato! After realizing that, I figured it was time! :)

Favorite Show: Shark Week (I can't get enough! I think I'll do a whole post about this sometime)
Contests: I am actually entering a photo into a contest. We will see what happens.
On My Mind Lately: What is going on inside a 2 year olds head?
